Ugh. Even putting descriptions on your car for a high-end aftermarket mod like "HPE 700" is borderline for me. But really, adding extra advertising for the stock capabilities of the car?

I laugh at those guys who put those huge Matchbox-car wheels on their cars, then put those 22" chrome stickers on the front fenders.

I love the Challengers in general, but I'm really liking this Challenger 1320 featured on autoblog and allworldcars:

Challenger 1320 Features:

556hp HEMI V-8
540 lb.-ft. of torque
6 speed manual trans with Hurst shifter
ARB Locking Differential
Adjustable coil-over suspension
Carbon fiber hood with HEMI scoop
Non-Metallic Yellow paint with black accent graphics (my favorite combo)
Mopar police wheels with Nitto drag radials
Stripped interior (for weight reduction) with Viper seats.

IMO a perfect muscle car. Can't wait to see the SEMA photos of this car. At least someone is listening to those who are asking for a stripped-down street screamer.

Wow, I thought" arnt those things supose to be fast?"

Guys, I wish I could paste my review on Camaro VS Challenger.
I think it boiled down for me my age. I am 50 and really like the luxury of my Challenger. I love the Camaro too and made that clear in my review. I just am more into the retro look of the Chally and its fast enough for me. The Chally is easier to get into and out of. I love the Camaro and how it lights up at night. I like the way the hood looks when sitting in the car and looking over it while driving.
I like the ride of the Challenger better, the big hips in back and the rear end of the Challenger. I like the way the Camaro looks in the side rear view mirrors.. the rear fenders just look so cool.
I like the shift handle on the Challenger better. I like the seats better and head rests of the Challenger.
But on the Camaro I like my two tone inferno seats and the stitching.. looks awesome.
The doors on the Camaro kind of pop open almost like the window has to release them.. The challenger opens better.
Even though the Camaro is not that much faster than my SRT8 it really feels as though it is much faster in acceleration.
I really like the Challenger 6 speed manual shifting a little better..but am getting used to the Camaro.
I will admit also that I get more rubberneckers in the Camaro but both do attract attention.
I just do not think many people even know the Challenger exists.. and by the time they notice it they think, what the heck was that.
The guys on the Challenger site are for the most part older than the Camaro owners, especially us old guys that own the SRT8 cars.
Camaro owners should be proud of what they own and Challenger owners should be proud of what they own.
Both are fast cars and if not careful dangerous so be careful out there boys and girls but most of all have fun and enjoy the fact that you can own either car.
Thanks for the comparo...from one of those older guys!

Camaro5 does not support or endorse street racing....

Please avoid this discussion here, thanks.

You guys sure do spend a lot of time talking about the Challenger guys..
I do agree, I am a member and some of those guys act pretty stupid.
Since I own both I feel I can say this.. The Camaro is not better in every way.. Why would I be giving mine back to GM if it was. We love both cars but have decided for us the Challenger is better. If however the Camaro was more retro to the 1969 I would keep the Camaro.. What I have decided is that I am in to the retro look of the Chally and the comfy interior which is nicer in many ways. I like the way it shifts better and could go on and on. Anyone who spends a bunch of money on a car does not want someone else to tell them they made a mistake. I could flame the Camaro in so many ways but wont do it. I have said it before and will again. Both cars are great and you should be proud to own either.
I do know that if I started a new post and mentioned everything I like about the challenger over the camaro this forum would kick my but all over the place. This forum is for camaro lovers and the challenger forum is for the challenger lovers.. all others are not welcome imo..I am also amazed how people who do not even own either car can give their so called expert opinions..:bangdesk:

Well put.

But if I may ask... Why are you giving your Camaro back?

If you buy a car you should not care with what others say about how you spend your money..thats my opinion
