My daughter just got that same exact information from Chevrolet Customer Service. Ever since she saw the new Silverado she had a guy photoshop her a new tahoe at work lol.

I think that's a smart move. I'm glad to see GM pushing the limits but they shouldn't try to do it all at once.

Ok, so they'll have a short model year in 14 much like the 13 Impala's. I was thinking that is what it was going to be. I couldn't see them trying to throw out a new Tahoe and Suburban at the same time as the new Vette, Silverado, Impala, re designed camaro, TDI Cruze, and EV spark.

From what I can tell the Tahoe and Silverado front fascias won't be very similar. Particularly headlight-wise.

Oh yeah. Right now GM's concentrating on the new trucks, which according to Akerson has been the smoothest launch in GM history.

Cool, but not saying much. There are only 2 vehicles in the world that would stand a chance in this "class" and they are both from Australia.

I guess any truck is technically in that class. Autoblog compared it to the Raptor.

I'm not sure a Raptor could manage 9 minutes stock at the 'ring................but I'm pretty sure you would have a broken Holden a mile into the Baja as well.

That reminds me ... they should have built the Sixteen. Keep it ultra low volume, down to a point where it actually makes sense to hand build them & not invest a couple hundred million in tooling. Charge an arm and a leg for them & watch the brand equity grow. Let any losses on the program come out of Cadillac's advertising budget ... because thats really all such a car would be anyway: a great big advertisement for the brand. Oh well.

I guess, but it would have been interesting to see GM go all out on a car for once. On the other hand, I've got the feeling that with Lt Dan at the helm of the company it would never have been given enough leeway to be done right. Oh well, maybe they'll do one in 5 or 10 years.
