682cc injectors? Intercooler spray?
What turbo does it run?

Sounds like 400-450hp to me.

I run 440cc injectors and Im at about 330 on pump.

I'm really not expecting 400hp. It's a TD05, relatively small turbo compared to what is on the aftermarket, but....larger than stock. On pump, I'm expecting a lil over 330whp and with race gas a lil over 370 at the wheels. The kit typically runs extremely rich, but I'm not messing with the A/F ratios just yet. Mopar basically tuned it to be as safe as possible...sacrificing power.

The thing that I like best about this kit is called High Octane Mode (HOM)...or the race map I referred to earlier. It is basically a different tune the car runs off of by simply pushing a button. You are supposed to use 100octane....but alot of people can get HOM to work using meth injection. Basically, the PCM will kick the car out of HOM the instant it detects detonation. Meth/water prevents detonation....thus making it possible to stay in HOM using pump gas.

Well....that's the goal anyway. The car currently has a single nozzle meth system, but I'll be upgrading it to a duel nozzle at some point. I'd really like to have the new meth setup by May.

Sadly i also must drop the idea of getting the camaro, after running through numbers i relized that i can not afford a new SS, couple years i will pick up one new or used if they dont keep making them. So im just keeping my truck and i will finish modding the truck how i always wanted to.

LOL did you hear it on a Chevy forum? Maybe you're thinking of the Caliber SRT-4 which is slower than the Neon SRT-4. The Neon has a faster 1/4mi, 0-60, and trap speed than the Cobalt SS turbo. The SS supercharged isn't really worth comparing.

I'm not buying the Caliber SRT...it's the neon.

I cried a little inside when Dodge stopped making the real SRT4 and brought out the monstrosity. That little car was a beast.

I personally get a little nervous when other people have done the modifications on a car because you're never quite sure what they did with it. Sounds like you're going to check it thoroughly though.

I have to admit, at this point I'm still fairly set on the Camaro but it's getting harder and harder financially to justify it. I watched a huge chunk of my IRA's and such go poof over the last month and man-it hurts. I can afford the payment but now I'm wondering if I'd be better off putting that payment in a shoe box and burying it in the garden (not really- I'm not that nuts yet).

Just for reference though, Car and Driver:
"The Neon SRT-4 rips to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, to 100 in 13.8, covers a quarter-mile in 14.2 seconds at 102 mph, and keeps on huffin' all the way to 153 mph."

"0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds and the quarter-mile in 14.2 at 102 mph" <-Cobalt SS.

102 mph 1/4's for both and within .1 sec 0-60 so that's basically up to the driver. Basically the SS just picked up the baton that the SRT4 dropped on the ground. Awesome little car though.

I was saying crank numbers.

Meth rocks.

I owned an '05 SRT-4 and loved it. The Stage 3 kit that includes the injectors, water spray, etc. is all from MOPAR and it's been dyno verified to put out easy 300 hp. This is a conservative number and using "dial-a-boost" in top position in conjunction with high octane mode you could hit 350 hp just with the bolt on Stage 3 kit.

When I was really into the SRT's the Stage 3's were running in the 12 second 1/4's and with only a few other mods it was possible to run 11's. I remember the first person to hit 11's was a girl and she did it against a Dodge Viper...it was a sight to see.

BUT, no matter how fast the SRT-4 is it absolutely does not compare to the Camaro. I always hated the fact I was driving a turbo NEON. The seats were nice, but they didn't make up for the doofus styling. I like my car to represent my tastes and I felt the SRT-4 showed I was tacky...not so for the Camaro.

^^^That is the link where you got that information. Good find. However, that is for the 2003 SRT-4. The 03 didn't have a limited slip differential, it had smaller fuel injectors, a weaker PCM calibration, 15 less hp, and 5 lbs less torque among other things when compared to the 2004 model.

Here is the article for the 2004 SRT-4 also from car and driver:
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...take_road_test

"The '03 car ran to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds and cleared the quarter in 14.1 seconds at 102 mph. The '04 model nipped 0.3 second off the 60-mph sprint (5.3 seconds) and ran the quarter in 13.9 at 103 mph" -Car and driver

Well, I know what you're saying. I could comfortably afford a new V6 Camaro but I know that just won't make me happy. As much as I care about styling, I just can't get over performance. The V6 was never an option for me. It was SS or nothing.

In a way I agree with you. Usually, the SRT-4 is a type of car that is owned by younger people. Younger people tend to really push a car to its limit on the street, track, or just going to the grocery store. I also tend to think they are willing to do modifications and tuning to a car even though they have no clue what they're doing.

Trust me, that was a huge concern of mine. However, this car only had one owner. Over nearly 4 years, the car only has 20k miles. Best of all, the owner is over 40 years old. This vehicle is hands down the best bet I could find over the last 4-5 months of looking.

Well I stand corrected-kind of . I wouldn't worry too much about the 'driving a neon' thing- it will be a great conversation starter for those in the know about such things. I didn't see Need for Speed until it was out on a standard cable channel and I still had a lot of respect for the little monsters.
