Get the truck back in 10 business days... so 3 weeks (becuase this week is a holiday week)... so something like dec 10, 11, 12.

The ticket is "technically" a speeding ticket... but its for doing 20 in a 45 and being "unable to react/prevent an accident".

That is what the ticket was written for... traffic was moving at 40mph guy in front of me changed lanes (to a turn lane) and in front of him right after the turn lane started traffic was at a stand still. Slammed on the brakes and swerved to the right (the slow lane was empty) but wasn't fast enough. Was going 20-25 when I actually hit(at least thats what the cop said, I was too busy trying to swerve than look at the spedo).

I don't have a complete break down, BUT things I know it needs are a new hood($400ish), fender($70ish), headlight($215ish), bumper, bumper reinforcement, bumper cap, grille. then it all needs to be primed, painted, blended. The paint and labor makes up A LOT of it. especially when it comes down to almost 1/3 of the vehicle being painted.

Update..

Total in damages after repairs... 6733.32

Total out of pocket myself... 662.00 ( 500 deduct, 162 for 2 new tires 1 tire is prorated).

Owe on the truck.. 5300.00........
kbb on truck is 3450.00.....

Whatever.. just glad to have my truck back now.. pictures to come!

Glad it's getting fixed!!!

But the KBB was only 3450??? Why, because of the damage? Or is that really how much prices have dropped when I wasn't looking?

Yes truck prices are in the crapper and i figure they will stay there...

Hell you can buy a brand new 09 dodge ram equivalent of mine now for less than I paid for mine used in 2005 and i got a great deal for the time. December last year my truck was worth 8000.00. In march of this year it was worth 5000.00. It hit the bottom of 3450 about 2 months ago.

2009 new price $12,995.00
2005 used price $13,500.00
