i heard the powertrain options were a bit lack luster. that would definitely hurt the sales if this beautiful car.

Dunno I like the 2010 eddie bauer explorer interior better. We have a 2010 here and it looks alot better, no nav added.

that's kinda what i was thinking when I saw this. the V6 it comes with puts out 295 HP, makes around 25 mpg on the highway, so not bad. Surprised they don't have a V8 option for it though, didn't the old explorers have that?

It will offer the same EcoBoost V6 the Flex does rather than a V8.

Thus far I've only heard that it will have the ecoboost I4 and a NA V6

I really like it....I had an explorer back in the day and it was a good vehicle. This one looks by far and away better than the older style.

Can't really picture banging around the woods with that. I guess that they are ready to admit that off roading means the mall parking lot is under construction. That is the closest most SUV's owners get.

Well, its a crossover so actual capability isn't terribly high on the priority list. Calling it an Explorer does not make it an SUV.
