Yes, Yes, I know. While I was searching for my first post it just got me thinking about other members and I just started thumbing around. My first post wasn't even in the off topic area. There is a thread about first posts and, shit, I was bored. I like Merf. Hey Milk. Stash this back away.

In order to "stash" it, I'd have to delete every post that was just made. Besides, I never got a chance to welcome Merf

I've been posting, just not as much whoring lately!

Seriously I've been bummed about the car situation and unsure, so I've been visiting less lately. I'm sick of waiting, even though I can't afford it yet. I have always owned convertibles, but at the risk of sounding like the average pessimist I'm not at all convinced the convertible is going to happen (I have nothing to back that guess up, just using the obvious information to make an assumption).

My Jetta is dying (passing 180k miles). I've been driving it for 2 years because I knew the sacrifice of driving something nicer meant money to save...but I haven't saved anything. Moving, changing jobs, buying a house, upgrading the house we bought...every time we have some cash we find a reason to spend it. Anyway I'm not sure how much longer the car has before it's repairs cost more than it's worth (hell I just had to put in a battery that cost 1/5th of the car's value this week).

I talked to the bank and was ready to buy a Malibu, which would have destroyed my chances of affording a Camaro for 3-4 years. Luckily (I think?) they said not yet...they want 9 months of payment history on my mortgage then they said "you'll be able to get a loan for just about anything". So 9 more months of driving the Jetta I guess, if it lasts, then I might finally have an option.

I should be overjoyed, I survived layoffs at my factory, though my manager did not and we're unsure what that means for our department. I'm just in a slump lately. You buttheads made me rant, now I'm embarrassed...heh.

Aww man turn that :(....

Sounds like just about the time you're ready the bugs will be worked out of the Camaro and your financing will be just right.

Hang in there dude. I've been there. It usually only gets better.

Try this; :party0048:
