I agree though, paying that much, I prefer a supercharger in the Z06!

i think it would be a great experience, i would carry a much higher degree of pride in my car if i built the engine.

well you have to keep in mind its a program designed to be simple enough for joe schmo with big bucks to be able to take advantage of.

This is a great program. You get to show the RPO at car shows. Cars with this code will be worth a lot more in the long run, especially since they will probably have more aggressive quality testing to make sure that the owner-builder did everything perfectly. Plus, there's the pride of building your engine. It's like giving birth to your own car.

I'd rather get the car to the house, remove the engine, and do $5,800 worth of work to it myself. Might just be me though.

I'd rather customize it with that money, too. That being said, I don't know any Corvette owners that are strapped for cash.

I know guys that would love that, I would bet they would pay 15 extra to get to walk down the line with their car. I build engines everyday, no big appeal to me.
