Wasn't expecting to buy a truck so soon after the Camaro was delivered, However the previous Ram had a lot of miles on it and needed repairs, some body ordered this one and never picked it up.

NIIIICE Truck, congrads!!! I had a 2005 Single cab Ram 1500 4x4 with the HEMI, it was leveled, custom 17x9 wheels, BFG All Terrains, Borla exhaust, it was an awesome truck, but i had to trade it in on the Camaro.

The dodge ram uses a 545rfe auto sourced from mercedes. It's been used in all hemi vehicles (including the SRT) for over 5 years now. It's a problem free transmission.

Yea, love the color. Looks real mean. We got a 07 Dodge Crew Cab 5.7 Hemi with only 4 k miles on it!!..lol i know, we dont drive it much....we bought it in 08 from a dealer in MO.

I'll have to admit Thats a pretty nice lookin truck....had to look at the grill of ur camaro 3 times to figure out what was in the grill by passenger turn signal. I thought it was a dead bird at first.

its a great tranny, but i think they could have updated it to a 6 speed... Dodge doesn't make the best fuel eco trucks, hell, even throwing a 7 speed auto would sell more units... if i could work out of a full size i would have bought one instead of my Dakota

In a year or two Chrysler will start building the ZF 8 speed under licence..

Yeah, the 545 is getting a little long in the tooth. The problem is that Cerberus didn't want to spend any money while the owned chrysler so they cancelled the contract with getrag for a 6 speed. Now Fiat has to do something but it'll take a few years to get one banged out and tested.

In the mean time the 545 is a very reliable transmission so there's no great reason to try and use something else until the new 7 and 8 speeds are ready.
