i didn't know about this movie till the other day. But how do you beat a whole bunch of Predator's?
And if there's a whole bunch, do we get an insight into their family life?

NP I just caught that as AVP is on FX right now.

Though Id still rent the unrated version of AVP-R

They go where few dare in that the Aliens target expecting mothers in the worst way. The TV version will surly cut most of that.

With a society like that, at some point it has to be like a Unreal Tournament where the best of the best have no one else to fight but each other.

I wanna see that n more home world stuff.

There's a whole backstory to the AVP stuff.

Some of the Predators like to 'primitive' hunt humans. I'm not sure if that's the case with the movie- but it's like those hardcore people who like to hunt bear's with blackpowder.

As far as Aliens go, they whip human ass when humans aren't expecting them. When the humans know about the Aliens and go in prepared they start doing pretty well. Again, not sure about the movie- but that's the backstory.

Watching AVP on FX last night leaves many more questions for me.

The mother P ship blast a hole in the ice and 3 P warriors go down, humans get involved n bla bla bla at the end only 1 P is left and with the help of the female send the queen Alien over the cliff, then soon as the P warrior dies, the mother ship n a whole group of them declockes as they had been there the whole time watching the action but did not intervene.

Ok they grab the dead P warrior n lays him out in the main ship, and then an A/P hybrid breaks though the dead P chest and were now in AVP-R

Funny how those tiny Alien babies go from about 6in tall to full grown in just a few mins with a minimal amount of food. So anyway the A/P hybrid start to kill off folks while ejecting the smaller pod ship off the main ship heading back towards earth. And instead of the main big ship just turning around like hey, who just stole a pod, they radio the info back to some other world where it look to be some lone P war lord, who then goes after the said pod ship to see what happened.

Why wouldn't that big man ship go back for it? Its right there?
Less its some type of P tourist type cruise hunt ship, and its on its way to the next port. Where a hand full will get off for a hunt somewhere else and it keeps moving on.

Kinda like they the P nation does what it can to stop the Aliens form taking over earth but with only minimal effort, instead of turning around that big ship and have 1000s of P warriors go clean up that mess, then send 1 lone mall cop P to clean it up, and he totally failed, us nuking the town stopped it.

Killing aliens and or us and or our survival is so low on their priority list, a whole mother ship of P had no interest in taking 5 mins to clean up the mess.

Just how low on the totem pole are we, and who is above us?

For me its kinda like the harry potter movies, once ya see em, you can see the subtle keys that tie in the other movies and the early plot tells that ya don’t notice till watched several times, but its hard to predict the next.

Saw it opening day. I enjoyed it.

The story referrences the original Predator movie, and they even used the original costume as well. Story wasn't too deep, easy to follow and entertaining. I'd rate it 8/10. I liked it more than all the other predator movies.
