'Tis a matter opinion as to the quality of the exhaust note. However, assuming you're correct that the Mustang has the superior exhaust note, It won't be well heard by Camaro owners, regardless- Unless Ford implements a front-exiting megaphone exhaust system.

You might get an LS motor to be louder, but it will never sound as good as the exhaust note from a Mustang.

The difference in exhaust is the fact that a Camaro doesn't have to announce it's arrival by sound, only performance!!!!!!!!!

We've all seen the performance numbers for both cars and i think its safe to say its the driver who decides who would win.

I haven't heard a new 5.0, but recall the 5.0s of old, and have to admit that they are about the best sounding street motors to my ear. I can't explain what it is exactly, but it sounds just so right.

As far as them doing fly-bys now, it makes me sad to not have my '02 :(

I really love the sound of my SS with the Cherry Bomb cat back. One of the best I have heard.

On the Ford sound, it is all about firing order that provides the nice tone.

Easy there pal. The winning takes place at a Dragstrip, not at some intersection where I'm stuck in traffic with my window down (happened four times within the last couple weeks) and a Stang buzzes my door. Maybe we could all get along if it weren't for this being Detroit and everybody & their cousin have the same Mustang, or so it seems.
