The v has hit the 'ring. It ran a 7:59 IIRC. The sti in question has a larger turbo that makes ~315hp on the 2.0 in japan. with 25% more displacement, it's probably making quite a bit more power than the current sti.

I meant the saloon - not the coupe. I'd be interested in seeing what it runs though.

Yeah - but it'll never be the same sort of all-around super-sedan, IMHO. That's just me though

The CTS-v that visited the 'Ring was an automatic i believe which equates to a lower speed limit, and probably slower shifting. but by all means that does not detract from what the STI accomplished.

But I believe the A6 is limted to 179 or something - a speed I don't think it reachable on the 'Ring, is it?

But its not stock so you know how that goes . . . . . . .. .
IF these are parts are on the 2011 STI from the factory that will be bad a$s

there are a couple really long straights on the track, most notably the last one. im not sure what kind of speeds are achievable though

The Subie STi and the Mitsu EVO are much fun to drive....zippy litle cars that can hang with the brute musclecars but really shine in twisty roads. I wouldn't mind having a STi.

OMG, you are now using CTS-V and STI in the same damn sentence? Next thing you will tell me is that the new Mustang is faster than a Camaro.

wow, he was all over the track (and off) in that video.
Edit: I think a cleaner lap would have gotten a faster time.
