On my two weeks of active duty right now working in the ICU while everyone else is off today at the beach. Not really working I guess with only one patient and 3 of us here. I guess thats why two of us are on the computer. JUSKIDN, proudly serving with over 21 years of service.

Sorry to hear that you're working on a holiday. Lord knows I've done that A LOT and it sucks to no end. Keep it up and thank you for manning the hospital so the rest of us crazy services members have a place to go after we say "Hey guys watch this!"

My personal thanks to those who have given their lives for this wonderful country that we live in, and their families.

One of my best friends, Gary Thurin, suffered for a number of years from wounds he received just a month into his tour in Vietnam, and finally died from them. Gary, you were a true love of my life.

My husband became friends with a really great guy, Sgt. Jack Messer, in Vietnam. They had a short friendship, as Jack died from burns he received when the APC he was working on was hit and blew up. Jack, I know you were a special person, because Steve still has a very hard time with your death. He really thought a lot of you.

And to all of you who are serving now, thank you. I pray for you all every day.

God Bless all the brave servicemen and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation...we owe them a debt of gratitiude that can never be repaid....

Let us take a moment this weekend to say a prayer of thanks to all that died so that we can be free....let us also pray for those men/women who are currently serving all over the world so that we may be safe here at home...

You guys/gals are my heroes...

Being a 21 year US Marine, I just want to say to those that served before me thank you, to those that I served with it was an honor and a privelidge, and to the young men and women that currently serve our great country you make all of us proud and god bless you!!!

Remember with out our Military we would be driving a toyota, nissan, BMW or riding a camel!!
