If you're a real performance enthusiast, you know that these Honda jokes are just that—jokes. There's just no way to justify that a 17-year-old Prelude is on par with a Corvette. Even if the Corvette driver is a dick, it's still a dick with the balls to buy a car that performs over a car with all of the unnecessary luxuries of luxury brands. I know what it's like to be bitter and poor, but you can't disrespect a good product because the driver isn't as good as you. Even assuming that much—that the driver sucks—is assuming way too much, as well. Someone driving a new Corvette is someone who worked hard for a car that most of us cannot afford at launch and that many of us wish we could drive. This Prelude loser is just sorry that his car isn't a cookie-cutter like ours.
![]() Let's roll with that. My car isn't nearly as cookie-cutter as a toy Honda. Let's get real here. That Honda is just like any other Honda. Why does he think swaps are so easy? I have a lot of respect for cars done right. Low-powered FWD cars are hard to do right. If you're going to be like every other 16-year-old and stick HIDs on your unpainted Honda, then you don't deserve that respect. If you start with the engine swap and start a proper build, I'll give you props for working with what you have. Think about it. He bought an intake for a manifold that won't even work after his swap. That's money that could have gone toward paying that mechanic to do the work for him. He doesn't know what he's doing. If he did, he'd get a used car with some potential to break the 300-hp mark, not some beater Honda. Get off the JDM fad. It died with '90s ska music.

I found his blog (an individual at tyndall AFB) quite amusing and I've also met quite a few guys that own the "superior" car that come off as douches. and that guy is coming off like a complete douche. Now is he really one. . .who knows. but that instance he is coming off that way. The guys blog is amusing because he states his mods as performance mods and then his friend makes his comments. if you can't leave it at that then oh well. |

Apparently knowing how to properly shift a 150hp car is the only way to achieve "skill".
