Also I guess it makes sense to be per 100 vehicles.

124 problems per 100 vehicles doesn't mean 124% of them have problems. Just that each car has 1.24 deficiencies per vehicle on average, but I'm sure that could include minor problems like some plastic molding that wasn't set properly.

With Merc mass producing cars with all this high tech gadgetry (spelling?), I'm suprised it's not higher. Nav system, bluetooth for mobile phone capability with voice recognition, power seat presets and memory, garage door openings, electronic tire pressure gauges, automatic trunk release and closing mechanisms, to name a few off the tip of the iceberg.

My grandmother's friend pulled up this weekend in a brand spanking new CL 550 that was loaded to the gills with electronics. I've never seen a car that had so many luxuries that the owner didn't know half of them existed.

Exactly! So it's not to say that out of every 100 vehicles 88 of them will fail or something...I'm going to go ahead and guess that over time, of all the vehicles that came from that plant - a certain # of them had some sort of "minor deficiency".

JD Power and the Industry Standards, have shrunken this to 88/100. Easier to the Eyes...
