This is great news. I hope it's a sign of good things to come. We're not out of the woods yet.

Not necessarily. What it means is that GM has found a right combination and is going with it. Now is NOT the time for them to take any risks with a high powered, halo car.

What they should focus on is a Caprice release (they need something to compete with the Charger and Taurus SHO), reworking the Malibu or Impala and getting the Cruze out.

The Z28 is the last thing they should shove into the market segment right now. They need a well balanced product line, not a performance bias product line.

Cruze and a new impala should be the top priorities.

I just hope they get some breathing room and they can start offering us some true performance parts. I would like to see rear end grears, tunes and other stuff from them that would make out cars quicker but not void warranties.

I'd like to think that the Camaro had a lot to do with their turnaround. Say 120,000 cars in the past year at an average of $30,000 = $36 million for Camaro..

The Camaro doesn't even generate 30k in revenue for GM, let alone 30k in profit.

Yes and No.

No, because the gain is not realized by the shareholder, because this cash has not been paid out in the form of a dividend.

Yes, because a share is a claim to the gains and losses to a company.
