It will never die off thre are to many enthusiast and people like me that will not let it die i plan on having my own machine shop in the future and will take a small block and reverse engineer it to re create one if have to, to keep them alive haha. That would be a dream of mine to just make motors for people and just be a huge enthusiast and make more and more power out of the same block haha k im done with my dream haha.

The only vehicles that had the V8s anyways were the trucks and SUVs along with the Corvette and a couple of other models. Outside of the trucks and corvettes, the number of V8s in cars is VERY limited. I don't see how they equate GM introducing new models of cars with small 4-cyl engines with GM completely abandoning the V8. It's like apples and oranges.
