Always tough to pick just 5, however:

1) Lord of the Rings (All 3 movies in a row)
2) Shawshank Redemption
3) Apocolypse Now
4) The Fifth Element
5) Aliens

Shawshank & The Green Mile were the best Stephen King adaptations IMO.

1) Casablanca
2) The Godfather I & II (not so much III)
3) The Outlaw Josey Wales
4) Groundhog Day
5) Star Trek - The Wrath of Khan
6) The Hunt for Red October
7) Die Hard
8) Highlander
9) Star Wars
10) Smokey & the Bandit

I saw streetshark listed Logan's Run - we just got back from Fort Worth and while walking near the Convention Center we saw the Water Gardens park, turned the corner and saw this scene below, immediately saying "That was in a scene in Logan's Run!" A sign confirmed my memory...

I knew it would be tough and people would end up seeing one on someone else's list but it's fun to see what everyone likes. I've seen a few other movies that could have made my list as well. Dark Knight, The Crow, Predator (Original) and one I can't believe I forgot originally. Christmas Vacation!!

"Hey, if any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here, tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people, and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head. And, I want to look him strait in the eye and tell him: what a cheap, lyiny, no good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, bloodsucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-assed, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is! Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?"

"Dazed & Confused" Good God man,
a few cool cars doens't make a good movie

And if you picked it cause its a stoner flick,
Good God man again, go watch Up in Smoke

"Dazed & Confused" was our class motto in 8th grade though not cause it was a good movie, it was only picked as all the other good movie titles were already taken.

And yes a top 10 list is impossiable, a list of fav's is better.
