I hate the heat and humidity...could never stand it, even when I was a kid...would much rather be a bit cold and bundle up...

Same here...I love warm weather like Spring and Fall weather but not the 'dog days' of Summer with the horrible heat and humidity...

was stationed on Okinawa for 2 years. For those that don't know, its a subtropical island about 900 miles south of mainland Japan. Took 2 showers every day in the summer, one before work and one after. Then you waited for the sun to go down to go out at night so you wouldn't soak your clothes with sweat again.

was it that warm? i didn't notice. it was in the 60s last weekend though. I think with all this rain we've had this year i'm ready for it to warm up. Either be cold or hot, but at 69 degrees i don't know whether to dress warm or not.

I would love a short summer but the trade off for a long winter would not be good.

Yep, it was that warm yesterday. But relief is on the way; it's supposed to rain today or tomorrow, so that will cool things down.

I agree. The way I see it, when you're cold you can always wear more. But you quickly reach a limit when it gets warm.

That said, this winter has been somewhat milder than normal. Its been right around 0, should have been about -5 to -10. And less than a foot of snow, total. Not a good winter at all.

Heat without humidity is nothing cuz at least your sweat evaporates. Shade is even effective with not humidity. Here, you just swelter in the shade...

And I was just going to say, the winter here was brutal...it snowed twice, and almost stuck!!!! of course anything below 70 degrees is harsh...can't wait to get back to 106 in the shade with 93% humidity!!!!

I think we got all 'your snow'...lol...we set records this winter for snowfall totals...
0 degrees is a tad cold for me, but like you said, you can always bundle up to get warm...when it's hot and humid, nothing helps...

Hearing all the stories from you guys about the snow/cold and seeing it on the news, makes me so glad I live in AZ. I really really REALLY hate the snow/cold. But I do dread the 3-4 months of 100 degree temps.
