My problem with Danica, and yes I am a woman, is her little hissy fits after a race if things don't go her way. It is OK to be upset with somebody if they have done you wrong, but she can't go over to a male driver and start pushing or shoving him around, and I've seen her do that more than once. There is NO WAY a male driver could ever push or shove her back without being crucified in the media. Grow up girlfriend!

The icing on the cake is when she cries during a racing outbust like that....

I believe she'll have success similar to her Indy career...a "midpack" driver.

Her ARCA debut was impressive, but consider that she's in equipment better than 85% of the field. Also, tracks such as Daytona and Talladega are tracks where its more about the cars performance versus the driver. Put her at a track like Darlington and see how she does.

I don't see her winning in NASCAR.
I have to agree she isn't all that.

THAT'S my primary problem with Danica.

Every driver who has got behind the wheel has gotten mad and had outbursts...but I think Danica has a feeling of "entitlement", and I've seen her go after other racers (both male and female) far too often.

It's called "racing" for a reason Danica..."incidents" happen on the track...but most drivers learn that and move on as opposed to having public "hissy fits".

(OK. I'm off my soap box now)

I don't see her any different than Tony Stewart (another open wheel cross-over) or other drivers who feel entitled to drive as they do until someone uses one of their moves on them - that's racing.

As for Danica - she has one more win in IRL than we'll ever have regardless of how she won it...

I think she'll do well as the Nationwide cars are more forgiving than Indy cars - she can lean on people as seen last Saturday. I was impressed when she held on through the drift in the grass, came out in the high 20's and came back to finish 6th. She still doesn't know how to draft/bump draft though its seat time she's after - anything better than last is a plus.

It will be harder for her to alternate between IRL and Nationwide - no leaning on another Indy Car...

+1

I'm with you Moose...

There were 6 WOMEN in that ARCA race, and a field of 43 drivers, Bobby Gerhardt won his 6th ARCA Daytona Race, and all we heard all day was "Danica, Danica, Danica"....the only benefit in her racing in NASCAR, in the ARCA and Nationwide Series, is that she will bring more media attention and more tv viewership to the sport, if for no other reason, than to see her...which is good for the sport and the casual race fan....tv ratings have been down the last few years, and the attendance at races has been down too...

I actually heard an ad for Bristol tickets during the Gatorade Duels today, and you and I both know that Bristol is usually sold out yrs in advance, with some fans leaving their season tickets to other family members in their wills...

BTW, did anyone see her on CSI NY last night too??!!...

Moose. I've been saying that for years. She's not all that. YES she's hot, but not like they try to make it seem. Needs a bit more weight and a BIT more .............. well, you know.

Oh,.......... crap............. what was this about again. lmao

Oh, ya,... right........... her driving in the Daytona 500.

Since she's not,,,,, I'll just look at the pic above just to make sure I'm right.

IMO, Danica is a very good race car driver. I thought she ran very well in the ARCA race last week and I hope she does well in the Nationwide Race Saturday. As far as her Indy car career, I think she has performed pretty damn good there also. Look back and see how many open wheel racers raced many years and never won a race. For that matter, how many professional race car drivers in any type of professional racing that has never won. I had the opportunity to drive an Indy car at the Las Vegas Speedway and it was not all that easy. Imagine driving a go cart at 155+ MPH and that is what it felt like.
I respect her as a racer.

It would be even more amazing because of how horrible of a driver she is.

She has been racing how many years? And won HOW many races again? Oh... one.
