Get the Canon Rebel T1i for sure, we bought the sideline kit that includes the Efs 55-250mm lens. Easy to use and takes great pictures.

I've got a little Stylus 800 that I just love. It's small enough to go anywhere, but has enough goodies to give you some pretty good pictures.

There are plenty of great DSLR cameras out there. I personally love and used my Canon T1i during SEMA.

I love my T1i bu I really need to get a larger lense. I might get a Tamron 300mm for $160. Thats super cheap an it will get the job done.

Ahh yes... the photos that kept us all in the action at SEMA

after thinking about it a bit I will likely end up buying the tablet... right now at least until I finish school the camera probably wouldn't get much use outside of vacations and car shows... and for now I guess my aging Sony H1 will suffice. It so tough buying gadgets these days because there is always something bigger and better released in a few months

MP dont mean anything unless your going to be printing the size of a billboard...Even an 8MP cam will produce an image that is prob more than the size you would ever print...That is just a selling point the brands are pushing to go up against each other...MP would be the last thing that would effect my decision making
