How many times have you been stopped?

Been pulled over 4 times since I started driving (I'm 21 as of last July).

1 - speeding, ticket

2 - speeding, written warning

3 - burnouts on city streets, verbal warning

I had 13 speeding tickets in a 3 yr time span back in 1978 to 1981 in my 70 Firebird.

Almost didn't get in the Air Force because if it. (that's how I know 13 I had to account for every one of them) Insurance was a bitch too. Stopped driving for a while and then got 2 licenses... one in AZ and one in TX that I got insurance on.

That was waaaayyy back before they cross checked stuff like that...

Once they all fell off my record I went back to my AZ license...

I got pulled over for having a burned out tail light a few months ago. He was going to write me a ticket and then I remembered I had an extra bulb in the trunk so I got out and changed it while he was there. He said thats the first time he'd ever seen someone do that. You gotta love how easy it is to change a 4th gen tail light....

Pretty good record. 3 warnings and only 1 ticket. At only 21, you dodged a big insurance bullet.

1> Stopped for doing 54 in a 45 zone by an Arkansas State Trooper. Warning.

2> Stopped for doing 67 in a 55 zone by an Arkansas State Trooper. Ticket. (This was several years after the first time).

3> Pulled over by a Montgomery County (Arkansas) Deputy who told me my license plate came back as a stolen Buick Skylark. I was in a Toyota Camry, which he acknowledged. This was very late on a dark night, and I figure what he was really doing was following me because I pulled onto the shoulder before I made a turn (common courtesy at this particular spot) and suspecting a DUI. He was courteous about it though.

4> Stopped for a non-functional tail light by an Arkansas State Trooper in Kirby, Arkansas. CF was in the car with me. Warning ticket...cop was young, and seemed a little angry when I told him I'd replaced the light that morning and showed him the package to prove it.

5> Stopped by a Montgomery County Deputy after running a stop sign on the way back from seeing CF in Pencil Bluff, Arkansas. Verbal warning; they'd recently switched a yield sign for a stop sign, and lots of locals were blowing through it at night, including me. He mostly just reminded me they'd switched it.

6> Stopped by an Arkansas State Trooper between Daisy and Newhope, Arkansas. He pulled me over after I'd slowed down near a closed store and asked me general 'what are you up to questions'. Figured he thought I was casing the place, but I was looking for a bathroom. This was fortunate, actually; he told me the nearby park had one. Very pleasant cop.

7> Stopped by an Arkansas State Trooper between Newhope and Dierks, Arkansas. Was doing 74 in a 55. Ticket. Nice cop, made sure to tell me to mention I was wearing my seatbelt and wrote '67' on the ticket instead of 74, probably because Howard County has very expensive traffic tickets and that saved me some cash (road was empty, too, which probably had something to do with his going easy and my going fast). Again, was on my way to see CF.

8> Stopped by an Idabel, Oklahoma police officer. Was speeding, I supposed...32 in a 30 or so, but he didn't even mention it. Considering where I was and the hour, he was probably bored. Checked my license and registration, never said a word about why he stopped me, but advised me that I'd pulled into a yard, not a driveway.

"It looks just like one at night, though," he said.

All of these save the last two were in my first car, a 1987 Camry I miss to this day. The last two were in my Tundra. Upon rereading this list, it seems that I have a tendency to be speed when CF is involved. Since the cohabitation thing, the number of stops has decreased dramatically.

I got a speeding ticket when I was 18.

I also got a speedin ticket in Arizona. I was driving back to Albuquerque from Las Vegas. I was doing 90mph in a 70mph zone. Who knew the Corolla could go that fast, haha. The trooper pull me and my new wife (yes, we got married in Vegas the night before) out of the car and ripped us a new a-hole. But she let us off with something minor. lucky us!

The rest of my pull overs are just warnings. The Family gold PBA card is a magical ticket out of jail card

most of the time its right after my current insurance card expires, get stopped for something retarded, they find out the card is out of date, get a ticket for that, go home and get the current one, go to circuit clerk and have it thrown out

Been driving my 1999 Z71 for 10 years now...

Raced a GT mustang at the light( i was a stupid teenager), cop in parking lot hiding...the mustang got pulled over ... WINNER by default

next doing 85 in a 70 and came over a hill right on top of a state trooper...flipped on his lights but left me alone

85 in a 60...cop had me by laser, no one in front or behind, he got in his car pulled out behind me...and pulled some other poor bastard over

in houston on beltway 8 doing 90 in a 65... over the hill again and there is the cop...he gets in his car and pulls out behind me...then exits

In san antonio, at night, following a line of 6 six cars all speeding at about 75 in a 55. I am the last car, we blow by the cop, he pulls out behind me gets on my pumper, flips the lights, I pull over, he turns them off, gets next to me, smiles and then goes to the next car, does the same thing till he gets to the first car and pulls him over.

like i said...lucky...so far. never been pulled over...now I am applying to Police Departments...so I don't currenlty go over the speed limit anymore.

the best one was my dads...going west on I-10 doing 85 in a 70 in his 1989 3/4 ton suburban...state trooper going east picks him up and pulled a U-turn in the median...and GOT STUCK IN THE MUD

But that's when I was young and careless...haven't been stopped once since I've had my Camaro!!!

I have been stopped a few times, over the years, I do not remember them all.

Lucky me, most in the 67 have been warnings.
My favorite was when I was driving East on I-70, heading up to Eisenhower Tunnel, I was doing 90 in a 60, but the trooper was too far back to clock me. He caught me in the tunnel where I was doing 50 in a 50. I got a ticket for following to close (on the ramp).

1st time I got pulled over was as I left the tint shop a friend was behind me and just happens to let a cop in in between us cop ran my plates saw that my registration was 1 week expired I had no idea. He comes to my window but I couldn't roll down my window cause the tints were just installed so i open the door, he wasn't to happy about that. Got off with a warning for the tints and a registration ticket.

2nd time was at a light there was a cop stopped saw my white blinkers and pulled me over. Got off with a warning.

3rd time was when I went to pick up an ac unit from a junk yard in Paterson I get off onto i80 and a cop pulls me over just because we were two white kids coming out of a very bad section of Paterson. Got pulled out of the car and interrogated.

4th time I had just had surgery on my foot and couldent take the pain so instead of going around to the correct entrance of cvs I made an illegal turn. Got off with a seat belt ticket

5th time I'm coming home at 3am nobody on the road I am doing 55 in a 40. I take a turn doing about 40 gunning it through my neighborhood when I here a loud engine and bam lights and sirens. I get pulled over by a sheriff in a charger. He says do u know how fast u were going u gave me a tuff time to catch up. Pulls me out of my car accusing me of being drunk runs test on me and then says does ur father coach baseball my sons coach has ur same last name I say no my dad owns 2 pizzerias he says alright have a good night.

6th time I make a right turn on a green arrow and I get pulled over. Cop says to me u can't just turn on red u have to stop then turn I say I had a green arrow he says doesn't matter u have to stop first. I say what? I have to stop on green he says have a nice day and takes off

7th time I get pulled over for tints cop gives me a warning and takes my PBA card

8th time I get pulled over the very next morning by the same cop in the same spot for tinted windows he says to me if I see u again with the tints I will ticket u for the tints license plate frames and clear blinkers. That got me to take off the tints

9th time I have 20 pizzas in the passenger seat am late for a big delivery so I'm doing 75 in a 55 and I get stopped by a cop I say I'm very late I need to drop these off at that building can I please go real quick. He says go I'll be waiting for u so I come back out and he's gone

10th time was the worst and last I just lost $1100 at a casino 3hrs 30 min away I get pulled over for doing 80 in a 65 cop asks where I'm coming from I tell him he says big winners or big losers I say big losers he then accuses me of having a radar detector because I had slowed down to 65 when someone had flashed me I say no he says ok I'll brb gives me my only speeding ticket for doing 80 in a 65. Had to go back up there for court and take a defensive driver class to get rid of the points.

Bought my camaro 1 month later have not been pulled over in 7 months with the camaro although I have had some close call including doing 60 in a 35 right past a sheriff
