If you're that worried about it, you can do some research on the particular offenders that are moving in. Some sex offenders are pedophiles or other predators. Some slept with a 16 year old girl when they were 19. Hence, there are some scaling issues with the 'a sex offender lives here' ideas.

It could be that these folks crimes are relatively benign. It could also be the opposite case, in which case it'd probably be best to know who they are, what they look like, etc.

when they ship out notices they have a pic of them & what their crime was & what level.

I think that varies state by state. I could be wrong, I just thought I remembered reading something about some states being less forthcoming and was giving general advice.

I take it the ones in your neighborhood aren't the 'I forgot to ask Thelma Lou when her birthday was' variety.

Id research it.

A 17 yrd old kid who had sex with his willing 16yr old girlfriend can be a registered sex offender for life.

A good half of all those registered are of no danger to the general public; they lump to many into the same basket to satisfy the general public needs for a witch hunt.

As someone who just killed children isn't on that list.

But an older gent who innocently patted a girl on her behind in a non-sexual manor with a mother with an over active emanation will be on the list forever.

Id like to see drunk driver, drug dealers, n murder lists too.....

asked a couple guys at work if they wanted to come over to my house for a party. they asked me what type of party & I said a GUn party, going to get about 20-30 big guys together walking up the road, maybe they will get the hint that we dont want them there?????

If I saw 20-30 guys just hanging out at one of my neighbors houses.... that's not what I'd think....

Well the guns make it less sausage festive... but 30 guys walking down the street with guns isn't quite what I would suggest either
