Auto enthusiasts have wanted the Falcon to come to the US for years. Unfortunately, there isn't much of a market for sports sedans, and BMW and Mercedes have it pretty much cornered. I'm sure Ford won't bring it to the US, especially considering how the G8 fared.

G8 did well- Several mags, and articles, and critics all speak highly of it. Everyone pretty much agrees that it is ashame to see Pontiac go belly up right when then finally started making (rebadging) decent cars.

G8 GT was a car on our buy list when we bought the wife a 2010 Mustang GT. We liked the size and I liked the drivetrain.

They all look alike to me. I want a car that stands out. Remove the nameplates and you couldn't tell who built it.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but we are all gentlemen (or ladies) so You hopefully can take my word for it. But I recall other's on our G8 forum watching the sales numbers closely, and Pontiac in general was selling much higher than virtually all other GM brands except Chevy and Cadillac. For several months in 2009-- largely attributed to the G8 and the great deals. But yes, I agree the G8 was poorly marketed. I still have people at nearly every light gawking at my car. At gas stations, I have people literally walking around back to find out what the badge says. I have people a few times a week ask me what it is, and tell me how much they like it.. Poor car sales are just more proof of GM's incompetence. Pontiac wasn't the problem, Having a sports sedan in the line wasn't the problem. The management and business decisions were the main problems. Again, I am not 100% on the numbers, but I know that Pontiac was fairing well on the sales numbers, especially in spring and summer time months of 09. ________ Harley-davidson model j Last edited by jrc1122; 03-11-2011 at 11:24 PM. |

I also drive a G8 and I have to say that it's the best car I've ever owned. (including my old Z28)
That Falcon is pretty sweet looking. I hope they do bring it to the U.S. |

Falcon will not find its way here. Thats what the SHO is for. Though they are nice. I had a friend when I lived in Germany with one. Had a lot of get and go
