If you guys really want to know just about everything about the direction of our future energy follow this link to the National Petroleum Council website. This is a 178 page report talking about everything from oil and gas to nuclear and alternatives as well as the issue of our lack of petrochemical and geoscience graduates and how it will all play out by 2030 and their recomendations. Very informative and lots of factual data you can spread around.
