It’s not looking good for S Florida/west palm.....The storm is so big, and so slow moving and a category 4 that it is going to lay waste to everything between West Palm Beach and Miami with the current track. The track will certainly change, but this is the type of stuff that rips roofs off the houses with no trouble whatsoever…And boats that are parked in your backyard end up on your roof.

Mother Nature has been on a tear. Our thoughts and empathy are with all those that will be affected! My son and his family home will be among those. He will be taking the family to GA after work today. May the best of a bad situation prevail...

Good luck to all you guys in Florida. Just got back from Marko Island last Friday. Stay safe and take care of yourself and your families first. I hope all of the Camaros will make it through the storm but they can be replaced.

Off topic but in my 6th Gen, I literally outran Hurricane Barry in Lousiana a few months ago on my return trip from Bowling Green to Austin. I had to stop in Atlanta first and then I cut across to I-22 while Lousiana was getting pummeled and I was literally on the crest of the storm from Birmingham all to Memphis. Rode across I-40 to Little Rock and completely bypassed it. It was a PITA and a long drive because I literally didn't get any time at all to stop and rest from Bowling Green > Atlanta > Memphis > Austin.
P.S. to you Floridians, good luck and I definitely admire your courage (or circumstances) but if it were me I would be posting this message from Georgia right now. |

Im located in Palm City pretty much dead center where it shows coming in right now but who knows, I'm a builder so I poured all the walls solid concrete and have impact doors and windows so I'm hoping for the best. Also have it on the car lift and covered. Good luck to everyone lets hope it turns back out to sea!!

I've seen Irene Charly Frances Maria Wilma(?) and several others, forgotten the names. Hopefully, this is one of the ones I can forget quickly.

Florida seems like a tough spot to evacuate from. It seems now anyone evacuating might be going in the wrong direction....I hope it goes out to sea away from all the states.
Good luck to Georgia and the Carolinas as well. |
