why do you think they kick your ass off of challenger talk if you say one down thing about the car. I swear dodge could send them through without motors and the mopar nuts over there wouldn't care.

All I have to say is, if Challenger owners paid near what price I was quoted for a plum crazy purple SRT8 Challenger , they'd better say they were happy, or they'd look really dumb. 2 different dealers quoted me $54,999.00 for one, due out in the Spring. Other SRT8 Challengers around here are still way over sticker, most about $5-7 grand more. I'm happy with my car and what I paid, so bring on some surveys for me.

"A recent study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration finds that hybrid vehicles are more likely to be involved in accidents with pedestrians and bicyclists under certain scenarios. According to state-level accident data, 77 of 8,387 hybrid vehicles (that's .9 percent) were involved in crashes with pedestrians and 48 (.6 percent) were found to have been in accidents with bicyclists. By way of comparison, 3,578 of 559,703 non-hybrid vehicles (.6 percent) were involved in pedestrian accidents and 1,862 (.3 percent) were involved with bicyclists. Tellingly, the NHTSA data shows that hybrid vehicles are twice as likely as non-hybirds to be involved in pedestrian or bicyclist accidents at low speeds when the internal combustion engine is not running. These statistics are not a complete representation of all accidents nationwide, and NHTSA is quick to point out that additional research is necessary before any final conclusions can be made. Still, this is valuable data that "should serve as a guide when designing future HEV pedestrian and bicyclist crash prevention programs." Isn't it ironic? And ya I saw smug alert . |

"The Chevrolet Camaro and the redesigned 2010 Ford Mustang, the two cars that compete most directly against the Challenger, were both too new to be included in the owner satisfaction survey, which requires that a car be on the market for at least a year."

Well, then that test is stupid. It's way out of date.
