Ford Fusion 2010 Motortrend Car of the Year - Page 2

I'm really surprised the lacrosse didn't win, the Camaro's downfall for Motortrend is the interior. the problem they have with the Camaro interior is the materials are hard plastic. Well the Fusion's interior isn't anything special, it gets very button crazy at times, and it's a pretty boring interior though imo. Camaro's design is unique and original, yes the material is hard plastic but who sits there while driving down the road fondling there dash because it's soft to the touch? No one. If the materials in the Camaro looked cheap then I think there's a problem but I don't think they do.

I really thought the LaCrosse or Camaro had it.

NOTE: I know this is a Fusion and is a good car, but I just find that quote funny dammit!

Drive one and you'll see why. They really are nice. Anyway, I really like the interior of the Camaro and don't agree with those critics. It's 10 times better than the Mustang interior.

i had a first Gen fusion and it was really nice. the 2nd generation blows mine away

Well, at least it wasn't the venza or some other import.

And I like the new Fusion. I'm glad they offer it because the new Taurus doesn't thrill some people...

The awesomely stupid part of them picking on the dash plastic, is here is a car that comes standard with 300HP(the top line Cadillac CTS engine other than CTSV), for a base price of 23K. What other car offers that????
On top of that it's rwd, with IRS. So basically they're demanding 40K quality in a 23K car.

Fusion is a nice car. While I was at service, I took a good look at one. A Sport version. I could rock that as a daily. The true version(Hybrid) is what won the award imo. The tech in that is truly amazing. Ford just gave Toyota notice.

Now to see how the Volt does.

The Volt will take car of the year. You can quote me on this, take pictures of it, make a video of it, etc. but I guarantee it will be Car of the Year when it's released.

I'm shocked that the Fusion won. Its good but its in a group with a bunch of other good cars too. The Taurus stands out from the crowd a lot more than the fusion does
