We bought a Bed-in-a-box about 3 months ago and have never slept better. My wife has spinal stenosis and is sleeping very well on it. It has a 120 day free trial. We just reused our existing frame and their support frame that replaces the box springs. It was well worth the cost. Being they are made and sold here in town we didn’t even have to wait for shipping.

My suggestion would be to purchase one that you can sleep on for the 30 nights and return if it doesn't work for you. I'm also thinking that a couple of times per year they offer a 60 night offer that would give you a better idea whether or not it will work for you.

Oh my. that sucks. went to sleep number this past weekend and spoke to a rep. they have a 120 day trial period (must keep for min 30 days before returning) and a 25 year, pro-rated warranty. the i8 model (lots of bells and whistles) the wife and i looked at was $8700.00. This was a real bargain compared to a Tempur pedic-like mattress w/adjustable base, lighting, usb/power in base, cooling technology, massage, ya-da, ya-da, ya-da for $15,000.

My parents have had one for over 15 years with no issues.

I have had mine since the beginning of the year I am very satisfied with it. Before with my tempurpedic I would wake up with lower back pains and not feeling rested.

I started off with a setting of 45 but just recently upped it to 50. I went with a King size P6. My advice, best pricing for these is after Christmas.

I don't love mine. I can see the appeal of adjusting a firmness on the fly, but for the cost of it, I don't think it is worth it.

I chose to assemble mine myself to save some money, and you can legitimately see how poorly it's manufactured for the cost. It almost feels like an Ikea bed as the "box spring" is just plastic that snaps together. The pieces were even horribly trimmed down, and I had to use a box cutter to remove excess plastic molding.

Then the bed is just a square piece of foam, with 2 air mattresses in it, and then it's topped with another piece of foam with 1 foam divider.

If you can find a mattress that you find comfortable, you should buy that. If you honestly can't compromise on who wants a firm mattress and who wants a soft, maybe it's worth the cost, but I kind of wish that I just bought a softer bed to make the wife happy and dealt with it. $2400 for a mattress that is just a few pieces of foam, and an air mattress is absurd.

Bought our first Sleep Number from a friend who didn't like his. We paid very little for it. My chronic back issues went away as soon as I set it on 65 and laid down. We bought a 2nd on sale for our spare bedroom.

We haven't had any issues with the mattress. Yes they are a plastic frame with a simply air mattress inside the frame. But...IT WORKS.
