I don't mind the eclipse..but it's nothing special. nor does it seem performance like in any way shape or form. just seems like another one of those "Hip" rolly-polly cars out atm.
That's the Evo IX. the newest body style is the EVO X. New EVO's are 34 ish base though which is too expensive for Legacy's budget. I was talking about the non-EVO as that's a sporty car as well, just not 4 flat 0-60 times.

Here's the newest lancer body style. I priced on just for fun. My EVO is $37,990 =(

ugh whenever I think of 4 door sports cars I think of major lag.
for some reason I really see those 2 extra doors weighing the car down too much.
that lancer looks better than it used to tho,
but i really dislike the charger in the fact that had it been a 2 door - it woulda been 1 sweet car (maybe)

I still vote you go for a camaro. you'll enjoy it a lot more and not have to use 2x the amount of $ on gas.

I work until 2am and get home at 2:30. Welcome to the club. Hell I might be taking Banzai runs to TJ/CABO once I have my Camaro. Be on the lookout for my vert late night. =P

Wait for the Camaro. It's the coolest car on your list, although the GTO is pretty awesome too.

Once it's out, test drive it; then decide between it and the GTO.

V6 Camaro. It's no afterthought of a car, and you WON'T be disapointed.

Plus, if you've got 25k to spend, I'm thinking you should have some $$ left over for other things...

What do you have in mind for aftermarket?
I was thinking just a tint, I'll probably go second or third tier wheels, I know I won't like the standards on the v6
I was also thinking exhaust, and something to cover the undercarraige in the back
what's the cheapest way to add noticeable punch?
I'm not looking for cosmetic HP numbers
I just want a significant punch in 30-60 mph, I won't be racing, so accelaration>top speed

It's going to have the punch there anyway. You could monkey with the gearing by changing the rear end, to either get more mph out of first gear or more acceleration out of second, depending on exactly how the car is geared stock.

honestly...

Mini Cooper S (chick car)
RSX (i'll explain in next paragraph)
S2000 (you live in America)
R-X7 (same as above)
Supra (dyno queen)
Challenger (heavy)
Camaro 6 cyl (... uhh.... Awesome??)

Mk... why not buy a acura RSX... because my cobalt is made in America and can beat one and is Cheaper... If you have a 20-25k range or w/e then i personally think you should get the new Cobalt ss/tc that car is BADASS trust me it packs ALOT of punch it would also be good on gas and the whole "muscle car" thing its not a muscle car without a V-8 so andthing with a v-6 of a "four banger" is not muscley i guess you could say so here it is

Cobalt SS TURBOCHARGED is FTMFW!!!

What does living in America have to do with anything? Buying an RX-7 means buying it used, not putting money into the Japanese market you oh so hate. From your response it seems like you're just a fanboy for American cars and put down anything not American just because it's not American. Please provide a reason to not buy a car other than "You live in America."

mk i guess you're right... F*ck the American economy i mean what have we done for the world... and i mean when you've got 20k to play with why get a new car with warrenty. that would just be plain stupid and if you hadn't noticed recently GM has had a little trouble and i mean GOD FORBID you buy something from them to help a little its like voting just because you think doing it yourself won't help with everyone having that mentality it won't... And why did you buy and American car then???

Sorry... its just that just cause a car was in the fast and the furious doesn't mean its fast and the furious IN ALL honosty the SS turbo would be the smartest choice for him its a new car with warrenty its quick like he wanted it, and its in his price range... oh and its good on gas because what would you rather have a used car that someone else probably beat up on or a new car that is everything you want?? And with the new camaro's rep when he drives too school he's gonna get messed with...
