Tough decision.. Why not just a normal 4 door sedan that's even more fuel efficient and cheaper to run? A 4 door v6 Charger isn't that fun anyway, so may as well go cheaper to run route.

My cousin has an older Charger (07) and only issues he has had are control arms. He does have the 5.7.

I've driven Chargers and the 300 and they are decent, but they show their age. Packaging is not great as far as interior space goes and they also seem to have vibrations/rattles.

My buddy has had so many issues with his Challenger and it's based on the same platform. I'm pretty dismayed with Chrysler lately. Another friend had his new Ram fall apart and our Dodge minivan is complete crap. I wish you could get the Sto N' Go seats on a Sienna or Odyssey.

Our public service is all back to Fords.
I don't know if Chrysler gave them the Chargers for free, but they didn't seem to make 3 years.

We're still pretty Charger heavy. A few Explorer PIUs are creeping in, Tallahassee thinks Tahoe PPV is too expensive now apparently.

If you want a car with a boat load of mysterious electrical problems, jump on it.
Three bad words. Body Control Module.

If having all the latest tech isn't important to you then a G8 could be a nice compromise. If you can find an 09.5 model year then you'll at least have Bluetooth.

I almost got one before my Camaro but both Chargers and Challengers remind me of my ex-wife ... both are hot and sexy looking but way too high-maintenance. Plus, it is a Chrysler. Now if you were talking a 60/70's era Charger, 'cuda or Challenger, that would be a different story. Just my 2 cents

Here is where I stand on them. I happen to like the appearance of the RT Hemi, SRT and Hellcat Chargers. I've known for years that the Chryslers are nightmares when it comes to quality. I would wager that they are about average in terms of reliability (Their trucks are probably their best product). Other than the SRTs, I don't think that I'll ever risk owning a Chrysler based on their reputation. Chevy handily outclasses the brand at every genre except the full sized performance sedan segment. Its not a bad statement against Chevy SS, but in terms of the car's appearance and horsepower, the Charger clearly dominates this segment.

GM's light trucks and SUVs are also very dominant in their genres. I probably would opt to buy one of my favorite Chevrolet or GMC light trucks as opposed to any Chrysler.
