Mustang6G Guys - banned me

coming from the mustang world, I can say that there are fanboys there, there are fanboys here.

I didn't realize that this board had merged with Camaro5, or whatever...but I joined Camaro5 back in the day to learn about the new Camaros and the butthurt I got from just asking questions or the observations I had made regarding 5th gens was astounding (multiple warnings/temp bans)

Yes, the mustang crowd has plenty of dumbasses, which is why even when I had my stang I left or didn't post in a lot of places. But tell reality (truth) is what it is.

My buddy is a Ford fanboy. He swears his buddies tune only 15 5.0 can beat my 16 SS. Can it? I don't know I've never raced it.

I know this...if I post that question on here I will get nothing but I will win...of course I will, this is Camaro forum. But if I post it on the Mustang forum, he wins...because nutswinging there too.

I go with reality. The reality is todays Camaro, mustang and even challenger are amazing machines that all do great things. You really can't go wrong with any of them. Would I buy a Challenger? hell no. Do I think they're beautiful and have a lot of potential? sure.

We talk about nutswinging and the truth, but then I look at all the replies to the op and what do I see...?

The only way to tell for sure is to run them. You can get an idea based on stock configurations how close it should be. I doubt just a tune got more than a few ponies for him, wouldn't expect more than maybe 20.

Absolutely. The guy with the 15 GT has an 8 second race car, so his ability as a driver I don't question (and the GT is an auto, further quelling that argument). But he says he went 12.3@117 in his GT with only a tune.

I have no reason not to believe him, he has no reason to lie.

Camaro6 was created as an extension of Camaro5. Same deal with Corvette7. They've always been different faces to the same message board. Its just that it might not have always been too obvious that was the case.

As a general rule, our staff don't publicly discuss the reasons why specific individuals get infracted. But I will say you did not get a single infraction, warning, or ban for asking simple questions or for the observations that you made.

My take on it is about the same. My problem is nobody seems to take into consideration the driver. Most of these cars will lose if the wrong driver is behind the wheel. Stats and guesses don't mean shit if you can't duplicate them behind the wheel.

No, I received infractions for my potty mouth. Which was a result of someone nutswinging so hard that I had to because they wouldn't listen to reason.

I was banned once instantly for using a single bad word when responding to a trolls post/thread. Despite that, I've been called names by "Camaro" members and personally attacked for having an opinion car related that people didn't agree with...I do not believe any of them were banned.

I hate most Ford forums, same thing with Dodge forums. Only really post on SVTP where there is a very diverse group with a good amount of actual car guys, not "chevy, holier than thou" guys or ford guys that bash everything but the type of car they drive.

I don't care for Ford vehicle in general, the dealership I work in sells Ford on one side and Chevy on the other. Guess the techs with more work than they can handle constantly, yup Ford. That doesn't mean they can't make a fast car, it just means it doesn't last lol. All jokes aside I am a GM guy but I can appreciate something in just about any car.

Its been my experience that when something breaks down into insults and namecalling, nobody ever bothers to listen to whatever else it is thats said.

And arguing with fanatics that rely on dogma instead of fact is one of the biggest wastes of time there is. You'd be better off counting the number of hairs on your forearm, then multiplying that number by the hairs on your other forearm -and do it all in your head. Sure, it's completely useless and mind numbingly difficult (so long as you don't shave your arms) ... but at least its not going to raise your blood pressure or give a troll the satisfaction of 'getting' you.

Sort of on topic, but what's with the attitudes? I mean Camaro owners will at least LOOK at me when we pass each other and often wave, but Mustangs (and 'vettes) never even look over when we pass by.
