New York is generally perceived to be highly restrictive for purchasing, possessing, or carrying firearms. This is especially the case for New York City and its surrounding suburbs...

Yes....but still there continues to be killings. Somehow the "bad" guys have/will continue to have access to handguns.
Nevada recently changed our laws....no longer do you receive a "blue card" when you purchase a gun...sales no longer have to reported/documented with local police department. As a gun owner this actually makes me a little nervous yet VERY aware of where my guns are at ALL times

I was going to say the government should remove all the bad guys from the whole Country and leave the law abiding citizens alone. That would mean they would have to remove themselves.

Hi guys.

I strongly feel a good start, instead of simply blaming "liberals", would be to demand the return of Civics to public schools, and that the subject must be taught by impartial educators, not by politically motivated people who wish to imprint their liberal mindset on impressionable youngsters.

Establishing a culture of personal responsibility for actions would be my next step.

This problem did not spring up overnight, and it is my main critique of the liberal mindset that it can be resolved and quickly by passing a few laws that does nothing to curb violence but does make the law-abiding into criminals. It will require years of effort.

That's just the give and take of a flawed system.

It doesn't really take a 1400 page bill to build or rebuild 10 bridges, it's the other 200 things that are buried in the bill to give guy one thing for his state and something for the next guy's state so that they cab get enough votes for the bridge.

Bills should be just that and live or die on its merit. If that was the case, that bridge bill would 50 pages and decided on within 5 minutes. Next bill, 5 minutes, bam we would have efficiency in Congress.
