How old are you if I may ask? Either you're very young or you've been in at least 5 accidents per month for the past 20 years. Your insurance rates are atrocious. Yikes!

I'm with these guys before me, what the shit batman ?

It's interesting to see some people acting like judgmental women in this thread. "Those can't be natural", "She must have slept with her boss to get that job". So much judgement on assumptions.

I'm 53. My leg may need to be amputated in the next year or two. I want to enjoy my life. Grow up.

In the last 4 years, I've had a 2010 SS, Chevy Sonic LTZ, Audi Q5 and 2 Corvettes. Having fun. That's all...I prefer having cars under warranty.

Easy man. I wasn't belittling you. Your story was just very odd. I've never heard of such a thing and I needed an explanation. If you're out there living it up while you're able, more power to you.

Here's the new car...

Congratulations,

OMG, I went the same route (not ZO6 but Laguna Blue C7) to 2017 Camaro Hyper Blue w/white rally stripes 1LT/RS V6
(don't like turbo lag...have a Cruze love the car but not the engine).

My reasoning was because of outrageous insurance premium increase on the C7.

As far as insurance, understand that that includes my homeowners. Still, it went up because of a Reckless Driving charge I picked up last year driving my first Z06 across country. Had been driving through Virginia, and got nailed doing 85. I thought it was in a 70 (it was 60), so I didn't think much of it. Got a bunch of letters from lawyers in VA, and didn't put 2+2 together. Called the court, payed the fine...and then a month later got a letter that my license was suspended for a month. If I had realized I was facing a RD ticket, I would have hired a lawyer to see if it could be reduced.

I did total that Z06 (I posted that story elsewhere on C5.com), however my insurance went down because I hadn't been speeding and they didn't find me at fault. Moral: Don't drive a Z06 through standing water. It went up because of the suspension. I really haven't had any accidents since I had my SS, and one was my fault...the other not. Over my lifetime, I've been involved in 6 accidents, 1 of which was definitely my fault...the other was the Z06.

Also, I have maximum coverage....and a very low deductible. So, it's expensive anyways. I tend to get a ticket a year (usually 15mph over). I'm not the type to gripe about those though. You pay to play.

I'm going to wait a bit, and get some life out of the current tires. I'm heading out to Bozeman, MT, then Atlanta this next week to go to a wedding and then visit my niece & nephew. I might go with different rims and lower profile tires, however I need to research that. Might also modify the suspension as well.

Truly, the first mod might be some Seahawks logo on a vinyl hoodstripe, lol.

Sounds like first you should invest a good radar detector.

I have an Escort Passport 360, and have used them for years. Cuts down on most of them.

Instant on radar sucks...
