I truly, honestly wished I could. But it was absolutely legitimate. I have another picture that shows the pad where the caliper piston was pressing against it. Some pads don't come with wear indicators, so he may not have had to remove them to get the pad in this way. There was a fairly nasty groove on rotor from contact with the back of the pad that pokes through the thin metal plate.
