Crappy Macintosh Performa. It refused to connect to the internet.

The monitor was the size of a TV without the picture quality.

My dad got this for me back in the early 80's when I was still in diapers:

Then in 1991:

Then in 1995:

Then in 2000, I got a custom built AMD-K6 which I hated. In 2001 I got my first Dell which was an awesome pc, then in 2004 I got another Dell, then just last year I got a 24" iMac which I use now and *LOVE*.

My first computer (as in bought for me) was my Dell Inspiron 600m...my mom now complains that it's too slow...

The first computer I ever bought for myself is my current Dell XPS M1530.

My first 'puter was an Apple II Gs:
It looked just like below, except we had a Floppy drive (the size of a VCR...remember those? lol), and a printer.

It did Word Processing..and.....real minor games...like with original Mario Graphics, but all in green...lol

I've never owned another Apple/Macintosh computer since...not for anything, but I just haven't.

A "custom" with Intel Celeron 500mhz, 256mb rd ram, 40gb hd, a cd burner (paid like 100 extra for that) and a 15" crt. Ran windows 98 badly. cost us $700 in... i wanna say 1999 or 2000

Now a custom 3.2 quad, 4gb ddr3, 1.5+tb hdds, 26" monitor, a few dvd drives (no need for blue ray yet) and a 9800gtx total cost to me about $850
