The Gen5/Gen6 body style "has been know to cause cancer in the state of California" so they had to change it to a more environmentally and health friendly design.

Maybe it eats Mustangs for lunch...

According to Chevy:

Chevy responded to these claims with their typical verve. They released a statement saying, “A Camaro is a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs.”

Ford and Chevy both got out of hand naming cars with the same first letter as the brand. As a WWII tank fan, "Panther" wouldn't bother me, but I am happy with "Camaro".

Wasn't there a story about Ford originally naming the "Mustang" after the North American P-51 fighter plane, but then retracting that to the lone wild horse after anti-war sentiment gathered steam in the mid-1960's? I thought I had heard that before. The Ford "Thunderbolt" 427ci race motor was named after the Republic P-47 from a story in one of the car mags. Thanks for the link.

I wish I would have seen this type of Camaro before buying the ZL1... having buyers remorse now.

Haha! Well that certainly helps explain why the Lexus service manager tagged my '13 SS key fob, "2000 Corrola"?

Duh... that's not REALLY a Camaro. It's obviously a Viper that somebody rebadged. Vipers were recently classified as "assault vehicles," due to their scary appearance, so owners are required to un-scary them... plus, no more than 10 gallons in the tank (much safer), and background checks for each fuel purchase prevent something. Not sure what it prevents, but, hey... it's for the children, so why argue about THAT?

After further research, this model comes with a catch can from the factory. And get this, a total track warranty! Any track, anywhere in the world! That will also kill the value of the 5th Gen, Damn....
