I think not everyone is mentioning the brake ducts because they are standard features on the SS and up models. They're hidden behind the lower grille off to the left and right sides.

Here is a clean shot of the brake ducts (long oval far inside) and the diverters that are installed for track days from my 2SS (just went on on over the weekend)

Great Picture!!! Saved for future reference! Thanks!

For those a little overwhelmed by what you're seeing...I've color coded some things.

Blue: Direct-flow brake cooling ducts (intake from behind the front lower grill)
Green: Air deflectors, guiding brake duct flow, and drawing cool air flowing under the front fascia up and onto the rotors
Red: discharge side of the auxiliary radiators (the air coming out of these will be hot, but still be cooler than the brakes on a track day)

How is the install/take-off on the deflectors? Time to put on take off? Relative ease? I saw them in the trunk on an SS I test drove, wasn't sure what they were. Now I know.

Looks like it would be quick and easy once the wheel is off.

You're very welcome. From what I gather, the outer most oval slot is just an air pass thru I'm guessing is a frontal pressure relief. I didn't see any other function to it (well, except access to the side marker retainer) and it pulls in from under the DRLs over towards the outside wall. I didn't see any heatsinks, coils, tubing, etc and my hand and fingers go up through it and I can feel inside the back of the front. If that's what that's for, that's actually a nice feature.

The most difficult part of it is removing the caliper bolts. Mine were really on there tight and one of the bolts is tricky to get at with all the sensor wiring. Once you get the caliper off, it's straight up. I would recommend removing the wire loom pins from the stock deflector before you unbolt it and reattach it after the track deflector is installed. The mini backing plates look odd in the pic and the orientation in the instructions doesn't help much, but the oblong piece is to cover your steering rod/ knuckle connection point, so that goes forward.

The hardest part is just those caliper bolts.. They're really on there and have some serious lock-tight on them.

The front tire deflectors have 5 bolts each that you need to remove to pull them off AND you'll want to reinstall the bolts.. They're holding your undercarriage plating/panels in place and you don't want them buffeting while you're driving along.

You know I didn't even notice that the rotors and calipers were removed...

Those are ports to generate something they're calling an "air curtain"...The LT and SS bodies have it...to reduce turbulence, and therefore drag around the spinning wheel.

The ZL1 does not have this port, however. The slight expansion of the fenders and wider tires must have rendered that unnecessary.

The air deflector? I'm not sure...They redesigned parts of the underbelly...I imagine it's setup to go right out of the box...but I have no idea if the air deflector is part of that.

The brake cooling ducts? Absolutely it has them.
