With 640 HP I would be very disappointed if the auto didn't run 11.2 or less. The SS has gone 11.9/11.8.

Ok, with what we now know about the ZL1. What are your predictions?
I was expecting the ZL1 to be a couple tenths quicker than the CTS-V which ran an 11.6 @ 126. Now, with the 2 extra gears, I'm thinking this thing will legitimately run 11.1 @ 128 on street tires. I have no doubt this will be a 10 second car on drag radials. In fact, I think it'll run 10s stock. I know, it sounds crazy, but consider this... my own ZL1 has gone 11.5s stock. The new car with 4 additional gears, 200 lbs lighter, and another "60" hp...

Your asking us lol? If I remember you nailed the SS prediction with possible high 11's. If the Z doesn't go low 11's high 10's I would be disappointed. To me it seems GM doesn't try hard enough sometimes on their drag times. They always seem to leave a few tenths on the table.

I like your stock tire et. I would say 10.7x on dr's with good weather but that doesn't account for the trans. maybe 10.5 hero run dr's only.

I have a sneeky feeling that the LT4 in the ZL1 will be exactly like the LT1 in the SS.
My feelings have 0 proof right now, but I think the Camaro group pulled a Fast one on the Corvette group. They knew the Camaro drivetrain was more efficient....and they went with lower HP and TQ numbers, knowing that the Camaro motors were going to make more. I expect the ZL1 to make 15 more HP than the Z06....and the Corvette crowd will go nuts! lol |

I'm guessing it would run similar times / mph's as a '13 GT500 6spd vs 6spd.
As for the auto, I doubt the 10 spd would be much if any performance upgrade in a straight line due to the amount of TQ the engine makes.

it's a stab based on the average trap of the A8 at about 115 and it's gearing, adding 200HP and not knowing how it's geared.
On the manual? Total spitball. High HP cars are tough to estimate with manuals. That and the car, with driver, will likely be right around 4,000lbs depending on fuel state. |

The CTS-V has been tested between 122-126.
