It has been an interwebs rumor for years. That is all it is. There is just no place in the lineup for it.

2017 Chevrolet Chevelle definitely a new generation product that has longer good design in the engine and styling. Good additions give high quality which is important in the ability and appearance. Beyond that, the new series car is going to give a statement to the company. Each one of the most well inside and outside will be conveyed in 2017 Chevelle.

There has been rumors of a new Chelleve since they stopped building them.

That's an old Camaro proposal I think.

Unless it comes DIRECTLY from Chevrolet, it's nothing but a rumor and will never happen...

This guy knows his stuff. Check his posts. In no way, shape or form would a new Chevelle be profitable for GM. Another RWD car like the current SS would not make sense. GM is already making the SS in low numbers because it was not anticipated to be a big seller and they were right. It's a cool car. There is just not a high demand for them.

In a sense there already is a Chevelle, it`s called the Chevrolet Malibu! As much as the name "Chevelle" brings back a certain kind of nostalgia for some of us it`s time has come and gone, so leave us with the good memories of what it once was and not some over the top rebadged mid-sized model.

I remember when the Gen5 was just an internet rumor... In fact there was a guy (I think he was a design student or something) who did a prototype around 2004 that blew up the internet and it ended up looking like the real deal. Wish I could find those pics, because that is what convinced me I had to have one long before it came out.

I was thinking the same thing.

It seems to me that GM and Chevrolet has pretty much every niche already covered, and a Chevelle, at least as most of us seem to think of it is redundant to the Camaro. There is one spot that GM hasn't got anything for though, and that is the compact roadster...ala Solstice/Sky. don't know if I'd use the Chevelle nameplate on it, but it would be a nice addition. Seems these were popular cars before they pulled the plug on the brands.
