I thought you weren't supposed to swerve around animals in the road for this reason?

Between this and the rear impact gas tank fires the SUV is known for there is no reason to buy this car. Jeep tried to cover up the gas tank fire issue as well by settling out of court with plaintiffs. I do believe it was a family that got to hear their child burn to death in the back seat (after a what should have been a non-fatal crash) that refused the money and got the story out. this car is about as safe as a Remington 700.

Save the clever and cute analogies for someone who knows what they're talking about

I don't think fire risk has been an issue since the 2003 & prior model years.

And if I recall, Jeep is surely not the only automaker that's attempted to cover up a known issue with their vehicles.. Issues that cause an otherwise non-fatal crash to become fatal.

Supposedly the gas tank issue was resolved after the 97 model, but all they offered for the recall was a hitch guard that they never crash tested. Despite how cool it looks, it always seems that there is something wrong with them year after year. The 2014 models are pretty high in the issue reporting dept. It just seems like there isn't a significant focus on quality and safety.

Just by looking at those Cherokees you can tell they can easily roll over. They narrowed the wheel base, they sit high as **** and they have mushy suspensions.

A blind man on a flying horse can see that thing will probably roll over or react the way we saw in this video.
