For cosmetic reasons, I agree. They left the exhaust disconnected from the tips intentionally, to keep the tips from melting the rear fascia. A case of function over form I guess.

I don't know that I'd make that correlation, the GN/GNX rumors are up there with the mid-engined Corvette and new RX-7 in terms of unsubstantiated rumors. This is a about a car we're definitely getting in the few months. Although I agree that ragging on a production car because of a modification to the racing version is a bit much.

Actually, I have been a long time reader, since 2010, and believe me, this site has gotten so much better. 95% of members used to drink the Camaro kool-aid and the blind fanboi-ism was unreal. Nowadays, there are a lot more non-biased members who truly are car-guys and appreciate them all.

fyi, the impala has exhaust outlets integrated into the rear bumper cover as well. its becoming more and more common.

I'm not a fan of quad tips on any car, ever not even corvettes. It just always looks cheesy. GT350 is looking to be a beast of a car though.
