I've seen guys with more time and money in a 6 cylinder Mustang than I could believe. And several tards that have thrown garbage at a v8 model and ruined them in my eyes. Bigger motor = better car is a generalization, not a rule.

I don't see anything about the red one to make me think it isn't a V6. Pony on grilll, mustang above rockers and normal fake gas cap on back. Is there something I am missing?

That's what happens when used prices drop down to where 17-18 year old kids can afford them. They really want a V8 with all the goodies, but all they can afford is a used base model. So they buy it, then try to make it into something else.
Same thing will happen with the 5th Gen Camaros in a few years. Just wait until prices get down to about 10-12k range.

Dual exhaust, the center mounted foglights both say V8 in that year. From a distance it could easily be mistaken for a V8 because of them.

Great point with the Mustang being more affordable! Again, I'm not trying to pick on people and can understand why they would like some cosmetics to make a car look sportier. But IMO, a little money in the engine bay would be nice to match the rest of the car.

I went the other way. I put a V8 emblem on my R8 instead of the V10 emblem... surprise!
I think doing up an homage car with stripes, spoilers etc is ok, but trying to pass it off with up-badging is really just childish. |

Come to think of it, my father and his 2 brothers shared a '57 Bel Air in the early 60's. The car originally had single exhaust. They cut off a broom stick and added a chrome tip and mounted it under the car, so it would look like dual exhaust. They even put a couple of holes in the muffler, I guess they were cheap posers

I remember people taking hard tops and putting fake convertible tops on them, fake bows and all...
