Internals should be as strong as the Roadrunner and the Intake Manifold did change, charge motion valves now.

I would bet the tuner is the cause, the Copperhead ECU is very complicated and they made changes to it again for the 2015.

$100k to run a 10.9 is a monumental waste of cash.

The 2015 5.0 carries over some of the valvetrain from the boss, which everyone knows was pretty stout. One of the reasons ford offers 700 HP Ford racing kits which makes no changes to the internals.

Everything on then new Coyote is stronger. I bet its a tuning or fuel issue.
The engine should be able to handle anything under 10psi with good tuning, octane and enough fuel supply.

2015 Coyote has heads that are the cast version of the Boss head. Boss rods and improved pistons. Revised valves and higher lift cams. Better intake as well. The crank is the same as a 2011 Coyote. The 2015 version has already laid down 950+rwhp by Hellion. Many others have made high numbers too.
