It's my understanding 305s will fit, and the car has already gone 10:40s on 275s

I can't speak to the ZL1 guys, but I've seen threads on SVTP discussing this topic. Most GT500 and Terminators go to catless midpipes, seeing as its only a matter of time before they melt in high (700+) hp applications. This is exacerbated by strenuous use of the drive train. Emission testing guys keep a catted mid to reinstall before the test, then after passing they go back to careless pipes.

good luck on 305's' only if you stagger the rim then the whole tire is not flat anyways. As for the time will have to see it being repeated I expect most will be be doing allot worse then that.

Factory FI cats are much stronger than aftermarket high flow cats like you get from Kooks or ARH. They rob power but with the stock tune or correct aftermarket tune they hold up.

It has been my observation that stock ZL1 cats do not hold up with poweradders exceeding 50hp over stock. There are plenty of people on the forum who have had cat failure from merely a tune and headers. Throw in a pulley and rotofab and yeah, sooner rather than later you will have issues if the cat is not addressed.

My 2 cents.

If I am in search of fast E/Ts with an otherwise stock vehicle the first thing I would do is go aftermarket wheels and DRs. Just as the 500, 5.0, and ZL1, crowd presently does. I am not sure what the max tire that will fit on the stock Hellcat wheels but I imagine 295s would be ok. There are however multiple owners running 305s with these aftermarket wheel setups. As these cars hit the track you will see E/Ts fall. But hey I get it your not impressed with 10:40s - 10:80s out of a 275 series DR, LOL.

Don't forget to purchase extra driveshafts with those drag radials!
