Of course a Brit would speak badly of the USA. We did ignite a trend with colonies of theirs breaking away from their control.

That being said--He really does make that show.

Top Gear will lose its following and BBC knows it. I won't be watching Top Gear if they get rid of Clarkson, the show will just be ruined

Exactly +1 and I absolutely find him the anchor of the show. Without Clarkson you've got Top Gear USA which isn't even 1/10th as good. IMHO

And I think Clarkson knows this. So assuming that you are the BBC, how do you handle this?

It's a shame that this happened, and if the show were to continue without him, it would definitely not be the same. What makes Top Gear such a good show is the chemistry the presenters have with each other.

While it sucks, I understand where BBC is coming from. And I type this as I am watching Top Gear

As others have said, the show isn't crap without Clarkson....and quite honestly, some of the nonsense the producers have been asking them to do is pretty crap anyways...

I miss the show when it was actually hilarious....now its all the same nonsense...

AGREED!!! I like watching some of the crazy stunts they pull with cars, the first episode I saw was while I was in Iraq and my dad sent me a DVD he'd made from his DVR and the episode was the Mini ski jump.
I was hooked after that, but I can't imagine how vastly different the show would be without Clarkson.

meh. Clarkson is, was, and always will be a d-bag. Don't really care about his career. Or lack of one.

He was never funny or interesting to me. I guess that dry Brit humor (or humour?) doesn't resonate with me. Sucks for anyone to lose a job, but if he crossed a line he agreed not to...it's on him.

No loss. Too much crap on TV nowadays anyway.

If Clarkson goes then the whole show will not work. Want to say I've read somewhere that Hammond and May will leave if Clarkson gets canned.

He crossed the line with this one though so I'd imagine this may be it.

It still better than the crap American TopGear that desperately tries to be funny and fails miserably
