Results they got= from testing them on the track.

You didnt answer any of my questions?

How is the Mustang a better muscle car if it loses almost every catagory concering performance to the Camaro?

If they werent judging performance why put "Mustang wins with less power" and have hp levels on the cover?

How is a 5speed manual better than a 6 speed manual that can handle more hp?

5 vs 6 doesn't mean anything. the evo was the better car for awhile vs the sti and the evo had 5 and the sti had 6. the 6 in evo mr was a crappy trans and the 5 in the regular evo was much better.

I don't think you want to get into any of that with me.

tr6060 in the camaro is spec'd for 430lb-ft. (but you knew that i am sure)
more gears doesn't always = better gearing for spec'd engine.rear end gears come into play. (but you knew that i am sure)
loses in every category = wrong and you know it i guess with all that claims that you did read the article you missed the handling and g forces and figure 8's, stopping distance, steering feel, body roll? (but you knew that already)

Your right. They got them from tests they conducted. Tests which show the Camaro winning most of the performance catagories.

So how does the mustang win?

If I were to race the mustang at a drag strip...stock for stock with a camaro and beat it pretty badly, then go to an autocross track and beat it again, how does the mustang win?

Would the driver then come up and tell me I lost because he liked his interior better and prefers a 5 speed manual? Cause thats what Car and Driver did.

Moneyhat article.

/sigh, they didn't test them as 'which makes the best muscle car' they tested them as which car they liked better-period. They didn't give the Ford the win based on 1 category, they gave Ford the win based on the overall package of steering and handling and interior and they didn't feel that it was short on power. It's not the only test that said Mustangs were more fun to drive, and there have been a few tests that have come out sort of busting on the Camaros handling. And 6 speeds are not magically better than 5. The article is describing a forest- you are only seeing trees.

Please show me where I said it lost in every category?

You still didnt answer any of my questions?

I know in all cases a 6 speed isnt better than a 5 speed. But, 99% of the time it is. This is one of those times.

Notice how the Vette doesnt have a 5 speed. Notice how the Shelby Mustang doesnt have the gt's 5 speed. HMMM I wonder why that is? Doesnt the gt500 have the same trans as the Camaro?

I thought they would want to put the better trans in their flagship model. Hmm I guess a the gt trans is better than the tr6060, thats rated to 480lbft of torque. LOL

Is that what you seriously think.

no the gt500 nor the vette have the same exact tr6060 there are different versions it is a FACT the camaro has the tr6060 with the m10 gear set and that tranny is rated at 430ft-lbs. you are making yourself look silly now, relax a bit. these are facts i am telling you. please if you want to argue get your facts to back up your opinions because i will check you on them.

i would assume the viper, vette, camaro, challenger, shelby tr6060 are all the same but they could be spec'd differently for each car, i wouldn't be able to say. the tr3650 that goes in the GT is spec'd specifically for the mustang GT; it is the only car that uses that transmission from tremec iirc; i think they are all pretty similar but the tr6060 is stronger but also takes a heavier hand to operate

If thats the case, why put "mustang wins with less power" on the cover?

It doesnt make any sense. Wins better interior with less power? Well a Caddy could do that.

I never said the camaro will out handle a "track pack" mustang stock. But it will still beat it in any sort of race.

That being said nobody answered my questions yet?

So Ford put the better trans in there GT over the GT500?
