My friend's Dad has the same exact car, but with a 4 speed and black interior. Beautiful ride and monstrous power. Those 15" wheels never stood a chance!

The Super Sport wheels were 14" x 7". The tires were F70 x 14 and would not hook up to save your life. I, finally, went with H70 x 14 Goodyear Polyglass on the same wheel on the rear to get some bite. The 350 HP 396 (402) was a beast, I can't imagine what the 450 HP LS6 was like.

A few pictures of my car when it was still in my possession 10 years ago.

The first picture is when I first brought it home after buying it.

That is such a beautiful car..OMG...

I normally do not like red interiors, or blue interiors..or tan..but that really works well with that car.

[QUOTE=Bowtie-Bri;8201034]Cool picture Curt! I know back in the day those pants were hip!

I can remember back in the late 70's early 80's you could buy those Chevelle's for $500-$1000 when people were trying to dump them. I was a teenager back then turned 16 and bought a Pinto

Who would have ever thought they would bring this kind of money now!

I finished the restoration myself.
The Brian Henderson from the Super Car Workshop didn't restore this Chevelle. Who ever supplied the info for the auction was misinformed.
I believe that little bit of inaccurate information is why the car didn't sell.
