What he was referring to was that fact that GM didn't have it actually listed as a part for the C7. and up until recently that cap has been listed (that fits our application) for the Camaro. all ya gotta do is a little research and poking around.

I am really glad that this fits your Z51 but the post was originally for a cap that fits NON Z51 cars. They may or may not be the same and I was looking to see if anyone knew. So I beg to differ.

well I will be able to tell you for sure TOMORROW as I am picking up my NON-Z51 car. and just by chance, the car I am trading in has that very oil fill cap on it....size wise that is.

Please don't get so excited about the C7 that you forget this. Thanks for staying on the original topic. I also have a GM dealership that is checking on a fit also.

ok asked service tech at Bud's Chevy and here is his reply to me.

John, I just tried it and found that the Z51 cap will not fit the none Z51 car. The cap that attaches to the rocker cover has 2 indents verses 1 for the Z51.

That is what I had understood also. A very large dealership is ordering several caps and checking to see if any fit. I will post answer when they get back to me.
You must have gotten your car today and boy are you going to enjoy it. I got mine Sept. 27th 2013, first one in the Bay Area. Every time I drive I get a huge smile still. Be careful where you park it because you can never leave without people coming over and asking is this the new Corvette ?

So route66.....I hope you plan on getting the info from that dealership as to if in fact there is a OEM MOBIL 1 CAP that will fit our NON-Z51 cars and posting up the number......
