Two words... that get me excited on alternate fuel/propulsion technologies for cars....

If we can get more corn and research, we can keep E10 and E85 prices down. It makes the most sense and all we need to do is stop subsidizing corn. Of course, the demand will go up so the price will go up, but without the subsidies, the supply can go up a little to match it. I imagine more farmers would grow corn if they knew it would be a very profitable energy source. I wouldn't be surprised to see domestic gas companies start buying acreage to grow it either. From a fuel independence standpoint, ethanol is golden.

I like the idea of electric cars, too. Honestly, I think we should all go back to trolleys instead of buses. If every major city revised their public transportation strategies accordingly, they could be running electrically like many of San Francisco's very successful trolleys.
