I don't think it's Gas Guzzlers we like. I think we just like Big Vehicles with powerful mills. If they could be more fuel efficient without giving up (much) size or performance, we'd be more than willing to at least consider them.

All talk, no action.

Like when he said GM was going to build the Volt, because it will cost the company more to not build it than it will to sell them at a loss. Or that the Camaro would be true to the concept. Or any number of other GM vehicles over the last few years. Lutz's words have a tendency of becoming reality. That said, its important to look at the words he uses. There is a difference between wanting to make the G8 a Chevy and actually being able to justify it.

Yup. Nobody wants to throw money away on fuel-but we like our big cars for our big highways.

Let's see what happens when gas goes back over four bucks and stays there. Only the people that don't drive them everyday or have a truck load of money will have them.
